What is Autologous Cell Therapy?

This is a personalized regenerative medical procedure where the patient’s own disc cells are expanded ex vivo in the patient’s own platelet lysate and transplanted back at the same site, using a biological scaffold prepared from the same patient’s blood.

Why is there a significant need for this therapy?

There are no effective therapies to regenerate the intervertebral disc (IVD) and address the root cause of chronic low back pain.

Clinical study hypothesis:

Autologous, cultured chondrocytes from intervertebral disc tissue, when transplanted into the herniated intervertebral disc space will provide regenerative environment for re- hydration and disc healing leading to symptomatic relief of discogenic back pain and halting the process of disc degeneration.
