ASV Half-Life Study

To determine the half- life of Anti snake venom (ASV) in the snake bite patients

Introduction

Snakebite causes blood-coagulation deficit leading to kidney failure; hence treatment is developed using anti-snake venom from frozen plasma. This cheap and effective treatment has saved the lives of many patients. The Hospital is a member of WHO Target Product Profile group and seeks guidance from Dr David Warrell, Emeritus Prof. of Tropical Medicine, from the University of Oxford, U.K.
