Department of Integrative Medicine
Integrative Medicine department is established to promote integration of Morden medicine with homeopathy and Indian systems of medicine including Ayurveda. In many cases, as evidence of safety and effectiveness grows, these therapies are being combined with conventional medicine. Thus, the term “alternative” has been dropped from the name. These therapies are now called complementary and integrative medicine, integrative medicine and health, or simply integrative medicine. Integrative medicine combines the well-researched conventional medicine with the most well-researched, evidence-based complementary therapies to achieve the appropriate care for each person

- To explore the possibilities of promoting Ayurveda And Homeopathy with conventional medicine.
- To disseminate the Knowledge of Ayurveda.

Activities
Under the guidance of Dr. Anagha Sant (Dermatologist) and Dervan Cohort Team, a workshop on making natural cosmetics using seeds (eg. Amla, Kokum, Kadulimb, etc.) was conducted at Dervan Hospital on 11th June 2022.
Lecture
On 21st June 2023 on the occasion of Yoga Day, under the guidance of Dr. Amar Barwade, Yoga Day was celebrated
with enthusiasm in the medical college. Yoga asanas were demonstrated in the spacious sports complex after sunrise in
the morning and the students also performed Yoga. A course was conducted to impart the advantages of Yoga and Wellness and to convince the students about the importance of Yogasana. This course was organized by Mrs. Radhika Rane, a teacher of Yoga Vyasa from Mumbai, who was the chief guest. In this program, medical students were guided on
how to lead a healthy life by taking care of their health while becoming a doctor.
