The department is often considered the backbone of the hospital. The department has most modern ICU with ventilators, ABG Machine, multipara monitors. Stress Test
This is a series of tests that provides information on how well the heart responds to physical stress. It is used to detect coronary artery disease or to determine safe levels of exercise following a heart attack or heart surgery.To evaluate exercise tolerance and determine if there is narrowing in an artery leading to the heart muscle – a warning sign of a possible heart attack. By comparing the electrical activity of the heart before, during, and after physical exercise, your doctor can determine how well the heart muscle is functioning during increased stress.
Dialysis
Dialysis is the process of removing waste products and excess fluid from the body. The procedure is used to treat patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). For more than 15 years, the B.K.L. The Department of Psychiatry offers an exceptional depth and breadth of patient services including: emergency and urgent care; general and specialty outpatient care for adults, children and adolescents; a 8 bed inpatient unit;psychological and educational assessment services; dedicated psychiatry services for both medical and surgical inpatients and outpatients; an addictions program; a neurotherapeutics service.
The department includes every aspect of psychiatric disorders – the brain diseases also known as mental illness – including depression, schizophrenia, and a host of other disorders such as anxiety, panic, attention deficit, bipolar, obsessive compulsive, and post-traumatic stress. All are complex, painful, often debilitating conditions that alter the perceptions, feelings and behaviors of those who suffer.
